Coaching Model

Executive coaching is unique because unlike other dyadic forms of coaching, executive coaching is a triadic, or triangular, relationship between you, the coachee, your organization, and me the coach.

Note the model of my approach to executive coaching shown below.

Executive coaching has proximal and distal objectives. The proximal, or short-term, objectives are to help you alter your management or leadership behavior by developing self-awareness and engaging in transformative learning. This will help you gain the trust and commitment of your followers, all which are vital and essential components of high-performance teams.  In addition, the support of your team during a time of organizational transition and stress is fundamental to a successful outcome.

These short-term objectives, which I help you achieve, lead to the distal, or long-term objectives, which is ultimately the success of your organization. As your executive coach, I am not only concerned with your accomplishment, but also with the bottom-line, the success or your organization.
